The Best and Worst of Smallville: Season 9

In a previous post, I covered the first of ten posts on Smallville. I continue here with Season 9.

The opening scene with Lois returning from the future in Savior, due to the Legion ring from the previous season’s finale, Doomsday, is actually one of my favorite scenes throughout the entire series.

This season mainly dealt with the younger clone of Zod and the army of Kandorians and all the politics that comes with that, trying to take over the world, albeit slowly.

This season has a record number of DC characters introduced into the show, at 23: John Corben/Metallo, Victoria Sinclair/Routette, Mia Dearden/Speedy, Zan and Jayna, Carter Hall/Hawkman, Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, Sylvester Pemberton/Star-Spangled Kid, Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl, Joar Mahkent/Icicle Sr., Cameron Mahkent/Icicle Jr., Wesley Dodds/Sandman, Al Pratt/The Atom, Ted Grant/Wildcat, Jay Garrick/The Flash, Alan Scott/Green Lantern, Abigail Hunkel, Inza Nelson, Amanda Waller, Siobhan McDougal/Silver Banshee, Maxwell Lord, Franklin Stern, and Granny Goodness.

The Best:

Savior, Metallo, Echo, Kandor, Pandora, Absolute Justice, Checkmate, Upgrade, Hostage, and Salvation
